Against the background of the deteriorating climate situation and economic problems in developing countries, more and more attention is being paid to the creation of a new financial system that takes into account the climate situation.
The first Global Supply Chain Forum will be held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre in Bridgetown, Barbados from 21 to 24 May 2024.
The forum is being held in connection with the Bridgetown Initiative for the Reform of the Global Financial Architecture, a political program aimed at creating new tools and reforming existing institutions to finance measures to combat climate change and achieve Sustainable Development Goals, which was announced on the eve of COP27 in 2022 by the Prime Minister of Barbados Mia Mottley. This initiative was supported by UNCTAD.
This groundbreaking event will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts from around the world to discuss and address the challenges and opportunities in global supply chain management. The forum will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration and the development of innovative strategies to optimize supply chain operations in a rapidly changing global business landscape.
The forum will be an in-person four-day event, with selected sessions streamed on-online.
