The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) opened its 80th session in Bangkok today, on April 22th. The official program is available on the website.
This year's session is guided by the theme "Leveraging digital innovation for sustainable development in Asia and the Pacific". The program of the Session will also provide an overview of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the Asia-Pacific region.
On April 25th representatives of the participating companies of the Russian Network of the UN Global Compact will make presentations at the Plenary Session on the topic “Review of the impementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific and issues relevant to the subsidiary structure of the Commission”:
- Mr. Dmitriy Izotov, Head of Palladium Center, Norilsk Nickel
- Mr. Andrey Chicherin, Director for Climate Finance, Member of the Board of the Russian Carbon Fund
The Commission session will also be broadcast live globally via the UN Web TV channel, the official video platform of the United Nations.
