United Company RUSAL together with its subsidiaries is one of the largest producers of primary aluminium and alloys in the world. In 2017, the Company accounted for about 5.8% of global production of aluminium and 6.3% of alumina production. The Company operates in 20 countries on five continents.
UC RUSAL produces a broad line of products, with almost half of them (50.8%) being high valueadded products (aluminium sheet, ingots, wire rod, casting alloys, billets, etc.). The Company plans to increase the share of these products to 60% by 2021. The main products of the Company include primary aluminium, aluminium alloys, foil and alumina.
On March 11-15, 2019, the 4th session of the UN Environment Assembly was held in Nairobi (Kenya), where a delegation of Russian business took part for the first time, on the initiative and with the support of the Global Compact Local Network of Russia.
On October 18, Russian UNGC Local Network and UN Information Center in Moscow organized a joint roundtable devoted to celebrate the 70th UN Anniversary in Russia and to the topic of Russian business cooperation with the worldwide Organization.
