UN Forum on Forest - 20th session
UN Headquarters, NY, USA
The Forum is a functional commission of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and includes all UN Member States. Since its establishment in 2000, the Forum has achieved significant milestones, including:
- The adoption of the first UN Forest Instrument in 2007
- The establishment of the Global Forest Financing Facilitation Network (GFFFN) in 2015
- The approval of the UN Strategic Plan for Forests 2030 in 2017, featuring six Global Forest Goals.
