On March 3 at 14:00, the Commission of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation on Ecology and Sustainable Development and the National Committee of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration will hold a joint event dedicated to World Wildlife Day. The event will focus on "The Role of Business in Achieving the Goals of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration in Russia."

The event will take place at the UN House in Moscow, Leontyevsky Lane, 9, Fireplace Hall, by invitation of UNEP and FAO, and with the support of the National Network of the UN Global Compact in Russia, the UN Information Center, and the Russian Association for UN Assistance.

The event will present partnership formats and opportunities for companies to showcase their environmental programs at both the Russian and international levels. It will also cover the fundamentals of an ecosystem-based approach to implementing environmental projects, priority areas for different natural zones, and guidelines for reporting the commercial sector’s contributions to ecosystem restoration. These contributions will be included in regular national reports on Russia’s role in ecosystem restoration.

The meeting will conclude with informal networking and a reception.
