The conference was organized by a Consortium of Russian universities implementing the joint Master's degree program "International Protection of Human Rights" with the support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the UNGC Network Russia.
Three panel discussions were held during the conference.:
- The duty of States to protect against human rights violations related to climate change;
- Corporate responsibility to respect human rights in the context of climate change;
- Access to legal remedies for human rights violations related to climate change.
The keynote speakers were representatives of academia, UN agencies, business, and the expert community.
