The conference is an important event that will take place for the first time since the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Framework for Biodiversity at COP15 (December 2022, Montreal)
COP16 will include:
1. Discussion on the implementation of the objectives of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
2.11th meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety.
3. The 5th meeting of the Parties to the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Equitable Distribution of Benefits from their Use.
