On September 11, 2020, at the General Meeting of the Association "National Network of the Global Compact", the Association’s new Board was elected for the term of office 2020-2022.
The Board carries out the day-to-day management of the Association and is accountable to the General Assembly. The Board of Governors is elected by a special majority of the members of the General Assembly in an open ballot vote a permanently acting elected collegial governing body, a special “Board of Governors” of the Global Compact Local Network, which has and carries out its mission: provides interested assistance in the national network development, its strengthening, increasing the number of members, improving the resource base and financial support; as well as provides general supervision over the strategy, activities and finances of the Association
The Board members provide mentoring and acceleration support to and supervision over the management system of the UNGC National Network Russia, assisting and applying their advanced competencies and skills to solve key problems, establish multilateral connections at the highest level, and bring advanced models of work and cooperation to the activities of the Association, increasing the number of its members, improving the resource base, financial support, etc.
The term of office of the Association’s Board members is two years. The Association’s Board is led by a Chair elected from among the Board’s members.
On September 11, 2020, fifteen people participated in the elections to the Board’s members - authoritative expert candidates representing companies and organizations from different sectors and segments.
The Association’s Board of 2020-2022 is a team of ten selected strong professionals who have undertaken to promote the network development and bring new formats and resources into its activities, which will help expand the scale and deepen the content of the work of the UN Global Compact Network Russia.
