Add to calendar 16-09-2021 00:00 01-01-1970 03:00 Europe/Moscow FIRST SIBERIAN CONFERENCE ON SDGs INFOPRO54 Information and analytical portal with the support of the UN Global Compact Network Russia, "Strategies and Practices of Sustainable Development" Project Office, Russian Ecological Society, Public Chamber of the Novosibirsk Region, Siberian Center for Support of Public Initiatives Foundation, School of CSR and Sustainable Development, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Novosibirsk region, Interregional Association of Business Leaders (MARP), Novosibirsk branch of "Opora Russia”, and Investment Promotion Agency of the Novosibirsk Region are holding the first regional conference on the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were approved by the UN in 2015, and today most companies in the developed world economy work according to this paradigm. Its essence is the transition from the financial profit and short-term goals priority model to the resource-saving, fair, mutually beneficial development of states, business, civil society, where the man and his future come first.

Based on the Sustainable Development Goals, business, government and society are able to solve global challenges: ecosystem conservation, climate change adaptation, poverty reduction, equal access to resources, equal opportunities and others.

Following large domestic holdings and state corporations, SDG projects include regional companies in their budgets. Representatives of the authorities do not exclude that in the future this agenda will become generally accepted.

In many foreign countries, customers are now carefully studying the SDGs practices of their partners. Increasingly, compliance with the SDG agenda is becoming one of the criteria for choosing a counterparty when concluding a contract. This is especially true for Russian small and medium-sized businesses that enter foreign markets with their products and services. In Russia, the Sustainable Development Goals also fit into federal development programs adapted to the special aspects of our country. Following large domestic holdings and state corporations, regional companies include SDG projects in their budgets. The authorities do not rule out that this agenda will become generally accepted in the future.

On September 16, the following issues will be discussed at the digital format conference:

• Is there a need for the formation of regional and urban sustainable development practices? Can businesses take part in them?
• How are global trends synchronized with company priorities?
• Which SDG projects are the most promising for implementation today?
• Is government support sufficient for their implementation?
• Is the Siberian business ready to work in the new conditions?
• Contribution of NGOs to the Sustainable Development Goals;
• What changes are taking place in a company after the introduction of ESG and SDG-oriented elements?
• What problems do companies face when implementing them and how do they solve them? Experience of international and Russian companies
