High-Level Business Dialogue “Corporate Social Responsibility Beyond the COVID-19 Pandemic”
Tuesday, 12 October 2021, 14:00-18:30 Moscow time
Offline and online
HSE Graduate School of Business, 26-28, Shabolovka, Moscow, Russia
DESCRIPTION
The HSE Graduate School of Business and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), with the support of the UN Global Compact Network Russia, are organizing a business dialogue to discuss CSR in Europe and Central Asia through the prism of the pandemic.
Significant health, economic and social problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic will have a long-term impact on global demographic trends and the well-being of citizens, especially on the most vulnerable groups of the population: the elderly, women and people with disabilities.
At the same time, the COVID-19 pandemic has shifted the focus of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and fueled greater private sector involvement in sustainable development initiatives. Many business structures have adjusted and changed their CSR strategies and policies in response to the challenges of the pandemic, paying attention to the well-being of both employees and society as a whole. Companies can leverage this experience by moving towards more coordinated and focused corporate social responsibility activities.
Within the event of the HSE Graduate School of Business and UNFPA, participants will discuss CSR development priorities after the COVID-19 pandemic and exchange international best practices on creating and changing CSR strategies to meet the needs of older people, women and people with disabilities.
